Overview

Job Summary The Private Banking Representative is responsible for providing support to the Private Banking team to maximize client relationships. This position will contribute to the development and retention of client relationships by providing a professional level of service while identifying needs and making appropriate recommendations of products and services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and client support to the Private Banking team that includes correspondence with clients through phone calls and email.
  • Perform routine account requests including, but not limited to, check orders, disputes, transfers, deposits, withdrawals, and processing of HSA and IRA paperwork.
  • Open and revise accounts and obtain required documentation.
  • Cross-sell bank products and services including referring customers to appropriate personnel and scheduling appointments for officers.
  • Process routine loan requests by making payments on behalf of the clients and submitting maintenance & documents to loan operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely resolution of all routine account and loan operational problems and keeps officers informed of items related to their portfolios.
  • Perform customer research to resolve discrepancies.
  • May schedule and plan team meetings, including team agendas.
  • Manage special projects including maintaining policy and procedure documentation.
  • May coordinate with Marketing team to construct marketing items, maintaining shared electronic files and databases, relationship reviews and proposal preparation.
  • Assist in the creation and verification of various reports; gather information and compile data.
  • Create external correspondence for clients and internal communications.
  • Conduct business development research, system queries and prospect list management.
  • Serve as a backup to the Senior Vice President of Private Banking by processing loan requests and files.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of consumer banking products and services, department systems and technology.
  • Consistently invest in building and growing key relationships when working with clients and other team members.
  • Comply with all company or regulatory policies, procedures and requirements that are applicable to this position.
  • Foster and preserve a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required to support the company’s mission, vision and values.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year in banking, customer service or administrative experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem- solving capabilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while ensuring operational excellence.
  • Capability to manage sensitive information and uphold confidentiality.
  • Capability to utilize various banking software and Microsoft 365 products, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Duties are performed in a professional office environment.
