• Develop and implement individualized academic and ABA-based lesson plans.
• Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy and ensure accurate data collection on all student programs.
• Supervise teaching assistants, ensuring adherence to procedures and paperwork completion.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging learning environment.
• Assist students with daily self-help skills as needed.
• Participate in crisis situations when required.
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and IEP documentation.
• Communicate daily with parents/guardians and report updates to the Director.
• Model professional and appropriate behavior for teaching assistants.
• Escort students to classes and off‑campus activities.
• Stay current on required training including CPR, First Aid, and Behavior Intervention.
• Follow all agency policies, procedures, and mandated reporting requirements.
• Remain punctual, dependable, and flexible in daily duties.

• Required:
  
  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

  Valid Missouri Special Education Teaching Certificate (Provisional Certificate will be considered).

DEFINITION
The teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing individualized instructional programs that guide and encourage students to develop language and academic skills. The teacher is responsible for the day to day implementation, monitoring, and data tracking of individual instruction, group instruction, social skills development, outings, and pre‑vocational and vocational skills. The teacher is responsible for the management of classroom behavior programs as well as managing teaching assistants.
