State Technical College of Missouri is accepting applications for an instructor to start in July 2026 (Fall Semester) within the Aviation Maintenance program. This is a full-time, 9-month annual contract, exempt, and benefit-eligible instructor position. Apply today at  .

Required Qualifications

FAA airframe and power plant aircraft mechanic certificates. Five years A&P work experience, including various operations such as Part 91, 135, and/or 145. E; a bachelor’s degree or the willingness to earn one; as well as excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include teaching/training experience and five or more years of related work experience in one or more of the following areas:
Aviation Mathematics, Physics, Weight and Balance or power plant fuel systems.

Job Responsibilities

This position would instruct and develop courses that may include the following topics:
Aircraft Fluid Power Systems, Airframe Fuel, Water, and Waste Systems, Turbine Engines and Accessory Systems and Airframe Systems and Inspections. Student advising is also a key responsibility.
