- Instruction:
Plan and deliver high-quality standards-aligned lessons in Music, Physical Education, or Art that promote creativity, physical wellness, and student expression. Integrate literacy, social-emotional learning, and culturally responsive practices where appropriate. - Student Support:
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, providing additional support where needed to ensure all students thrive academically and socially/emotionally. - Collaborative Planning:
Collaborate with classroom teachers and instructional leaders to support school wide initiatives, interdisciplinary connections, and student engagement. - Assessment:
Monitor and assess student growth in skills, participation, and content-area standards using developmentally appropriate performance-based assessments. - Family and Community Engagement:
Build strong partnerships with families, communicating regularly about student progress and supporting them in their child’s educational journey. - Professional Development:
Actively participate in professional development opportunities to grow as an educator and contribute to the development of the school’s academic programs and culture. - Behavior and Classroom Management:
Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and kindness. Implement the school’s behavior management strategies and support student growth in social-emotional learning. - Special Programming:
Prepare and maintain instructional materials, equipment, and learning environments for Music, PE, or Art; support school events and performances; and collaborate to promote student creativity, wellness, and school wide enrichment. - Recruitment:
Engage in student recruitment efforts by sharing Friendly Academy’s vision with prospective families and contributing to a strong, inclusive school community.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field
- MO Teacher or Sub Certification required
- Teaching experience, preferably in a K-5 setting
