Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist Springfield, MO

Join our team as a Locum OB Hospitalist and play a vital role in providing exceptional care to women and newborns in a dynamic hospital setting. This opportunity offers a unique chance to work in a busy environment with an annual birth volume of 2,700 to 3,000 deliveries, including coverage for NICU Level 3 and possible gynecological emergencies. Required Skills:

Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Active and unrestricted medical license in Missouri
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Proven experience in inpatient obstetric care and hospitalist services
Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
Ability to manage high-volume obstetric cases with efficiency and accuracy

Nice to Have Skills:

Experience with high-risk pregnancies and advanced neonatal care
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Ability to handle gynecological emergencies independently
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications

Preferred Education and Experience:

Doctoral degree in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
A minimum of 2 years of recent hospitalist OB experience in a similar setting
Prior experience working in Level 3 NICU environments

Other Requirements:

Available for 24-hour shifts starting on 12/31/2025
Willingness to participate in hospital on-call coverage as needed
Must hold valid Missouri medical licensure and active certifications
Reliable transportation and willingness to handle travel reimbursements when applicable
