Senior Designer

Description

We currently have an opening for a Senior Designer. This position produces production-ready visual layouts and conceptual art for a variety of projects ranging from in-house and custom publications, to client advertisements, and branded event and promotional materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE AREAS OF DESIGNER

• Create visually appealing and effective advertisements for all platforms under direction of the art director.
• Coordinate with sources for editorial, advertising, and custom publishing photoshoots.
• Create advertising and branded campaigns.
• Design in-house brand materials, as needed. This includes branded materials for all events, promotions, and advertisements for the 417 family of brands.
• Provide excellent customer service in a deadline-driven atmosphere.
• Work with internal teammates, including Account Executive(s) and Account Coordinator, to produce high quality advertisements for all client initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of CRM to constantly improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Assist in proof and upload processes for our printed publications.
• Write and source copy for advertisements including creative headlines, when needed.
• Meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Assist with and art direct photoshoots, as needed.
• Additional duties as required.

Requirements

SKILLS & STRENGTHS

• Excellent design skills, visual creativity, strong understanding of typography and layout design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different clients and target audiences.
• Ability to represent themselves and the company through the mission and core values of 417 through any interactions inside or outside of the office and online with co-workers and the public.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite design software
• Intrinsically motivated to work independently yet still be a team player
• Comfortable with following direction and receiving feedback as required
• Creative thinker who has the ability to offer input in meetings and confidence to share ideas.
• Passion for design, photography, and the client experience
• Comfortable managing a workload of multiple projects and competing deadlines
• Creativity in content creation, with experience in graphic design, video editing, and photo manipulation.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
• Have a passion for excellence.

The ideal candidate will excel in professional communication, have a strong attention to detail, demonstrate good judgment and the ability to evaluate tasks and prioritize effectively, excellent design skills, visual creativity, and strong understanding of typography.

A Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent experience and education is required, with 3-5 years of on-the-job experience.
