Location: 160 Rocus St, Springfield, MA 01104
Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm
Rate of Pay: $23.00/hr.

Main Responsibilities- Greeting our customers and ensuring they have a great experience while you fuel and wash vehicles.
- Performing vehicle readiness inspections to confirm tires, fluids, and other basic maintenance items are done.
- Helping maintain a clean, safe facility environment for customers and associates.
- Building skills through training and hands‑on coaching to perform minor repairs such as installing mounted tires, replacing or rotating tires, and performing preventive maintenance repairs.
- Completing other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

- High school diploma, equivalent, or prior work experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.

- Basic mechanical ability and tool usage (preferred).
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding and complying with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by Penske management.
- Ability to perform all work in adherence to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper tool use, PPE, machine guarding, and best safety practices.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
- As this position requires driving Penske and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires maintenance of a current driver qualification file, including annual MVR checks, completed DOT Physical, and safety performance history records from prior employers within the last three years. CDL holders must undergo a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and comply with FMCSA Clearinghouse reviews.
- Willingness to work required schedule, location, complete employment application, pass background screening (criminal, past employment, education), pass drug screen and physical as required by the Department of Transportation, and potential travel for training.
- Regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety‑sensitive; ability to remain alert and work safely is required. Must accept responsibility for own and others’ safety.
- Must move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods during scheduled work.
- Use hands routinely to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, or operate required tools or controls.
- Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
- Work in all weather conditions.
- Recognize frequent movement of large trucks; must see and hear to navigate safely.
- Lifting capacity: regularly lift or move up to 50lbs (23kg); occasionally up to 100lbs (45kg); push/pull truck tires exceeding 100 lbs.
