- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the U-Haul center
- Utilize smartphone-based U-Scan technology for managing rentals and inventory
- Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers, ensuring proper functioning
- Clean and inspect equipment, checking fluid levels and overall condition
- Prepare rental invoices and accept returned equipment from customers
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and education through U‑Haul University
- Capability to work in environments with moderate risks or discomforts, adhering to safety precautions
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field
- Familiarity with moving and storage equipment
- Willingness to obtain certifications for filling propane and driving a forklift
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
