Hadco Metal Trading distributes and supplies metal products including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, related alloys, and engineering grade plastics. Hadco products include plate, sheet, and long products for general engineering, aerospace, and commercial markets. Our range of precision cutting equipment includes waterjet, band saws, disc plate saws, and shears.
Hadco has an Outside Sales opportunity in Massachusetts for someone who is competitive, capable of building strong relationships with those at all levels within an organization and thrives on success. Experience in the metals, industrial supply, manufacturing, or distribution industry is essential.
Must reside in Massachusetts.
Role & Responsibilities- Build strong relationships, confidence, and trust with contacts at all levels within customer organizations.
- Develop new prospects and interact with existing customers to increase sales.
- Work closely with inside sales and purchasing to ensure quotes, material, and deliveries meet customer needs.
- Keep customers informed about industry and economic trends and Hadco’s ability to assist in all changes.
- Increase revenue from assigned customers by increasing product lines or items sold.
- Outside Sales experience in a metals service center or similar industry preferred.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving/conflict resolution skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of aluminum, stainless steel, or industrial supply distribution.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends to identify opportunities for company growth.
- Highly developed organizational and communication skills.
- High level of self-motivation and awareness.
- Ability to handle objections and provide alternatives in the sales process.
- Valid and clean driver’s license.
