Your Day at Lowe’sYou will welcome customers, help them find the right products and services, occasionally load merchandise, and ensure all customer needs are met. While most of your time will be spent listening to customers, answering questions, and organizing merchandise, your responsibilities may vary by department.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
- Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
- Down stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
- Cross‑train in other areas of the store to deliver the best customer service.
- Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- 6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- 6 months experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
- Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
- Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
- Capable of lifting 25lbs unassisted, or 25lbs or more with or without an accommodation.
- 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bi‑lingual skills.
- Certification in trade related to a department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials).
This role does not require regular travel; however, the role may need to travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
Working ConditionsEnvironmental factors vary by location. You may work both inside and outside conditions, with exposure to varying climates, extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, and intermittent noises. Lifting methods vary based on role. Associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally from 75 pounds or when needed.

Pay Range$16.00 – $16.65 per hour (starting rate may vary based on position, location, education, training, and experience).
