About The Clinic

Spruce Hill Veterinary Clinic has proudly served the Springfield and greater Hampden County community for more than 40 years. We are consistently recognized as one of the highest-rated veterinary hospitals in the area and a recipient of “Best Veterinary Hospital” honors based on Google Reviews, a reflection of both our medical standards and the trust we have built with our clients over decades.

We are a full-service small animal hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs and cats, and we are also licensed wildlife rehabilitators, caring for injured birds, rabbits, and small wildlife. This unique component of our practice reflects our deep commitment to community service and medical stewardship.

Our hospital is fully paperless and well equipped with modern technology, including in-house IDEXX laboratory equipment, digital radiography, ultrasound, and digital dental radiography. We maintain separate, fully equipped surgery and dental suites to support efficient workflow and the highest standards of patient care.

We are fortunate to have a rotating relief surgeon who joins our team twice per month and is passionate about teaching and sharing advanced surgical techniques with our doctors and technicians. This adds an ongoing layer of professional development and collaborative learning to our hospital culture.

We operate with a strong 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, allowing our veterinarians to focus on medicine while being supported by a highly skilled, experienced, and long-tenured support staff.
