Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. We are seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our organization.

Position Highlights –
- Join Baystate Health’s Neuroscience division, a top 100 spinal surgical programs in the country.
- Our experienced team is made up of 5 Neurosurgeons and 9 full time advanced practitioners at Baystate Medical Center, the region’s only level 1 trauma center and major referral care center.
- With excellent APP and physician support, APP’s will be responsible for managing post op patients, consults, and follow ups from surgery.
- Enjoy a thorough onboarding and training process which includes but is not limited to training in procedures such as intracranial monitors and external ventricular drain placements.
- As an academic rich environment, candidates can participate in weekly medical grand rounds, monthly Neurological grand rounds, and APP grand rounds.
- Ability to work in both an inpatient setting as well as our outpatient clinic.
- This is a full-time position, with a rotating schedule consisting of 7 12-hour shifts per pay period.
Qualifications: BE/BC Physician Assistant. We are happy to train new grads with strong interest in a career in Neurosurgery.
The compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range.
Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
Neurosurgery Advanced Practitioner: $135,000 - $171,000
