Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’s premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence, is looking for a Nurse Resident to join our team on the Daly 6A Acute Care For Elders unit.

• Daly 6A - Acute Care for Elders, a dedicated, growing team with an engaged Manager, committed to the professional growth and development of her team, and dedicated to patient experience.
• Providing care for the older adult patient population with 39 beds, 16 semi-private rooms, and 5 rooms for end of life care.
• This unit offers participation in nurse-driven change projects, great nursing ratios, and optimal support staff.

• MAGNET RECOGNITION & SHARED GOVERNANCE. Baystate Medical Center has achieved Magnet® recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Shared decision making between bedside nurses and nurse leaders covers resources, nursing research/evidence-based practice projects, new equipment purchases, and staffing.
• PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. Baystate Health provides continuing education programs for all nurses. Learning and mentoring are core to our professional practice model. Baystate sponsors nurses obtaining certification and supports nurse empowerment through attendance at national conferences, loan reimbursement and loan forgiveness.

• Full-Time, Day Shift: 7am – 7pm
• Every other weekend, rotating holidays

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required
• Education:
  
  ADN required; BSN preferred

Diploma in Nursing (Required)

• Basic Life Support – American Heart Association
• American Heart Association – Healthcare Provider
• Registered Nurse – State of Massachusetts
