Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate. We are seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our STICU team at Baystate Medical Center.

• Join the regions only Level I Trauma Center where we provide the highest level of trauma, acute care surgery, and surgical critical care to patients of all ages. Our team of 9 trauma surgeons and 4 advanced practice providers respond to approximately 2,200 patients annually at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield MA.
• In this role you will care for patients in our 12 bed Surgical-trauma ICU alongside attendings, medical residents, PAs and NPs. APPs are assigned their own patients once trained.

• This full-time position involves 13-hour shifts, with day and night shifts rotating every 4-5 weeks. There is a weekend and holiday expectation. No call responsibilities.

Board Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant. Experience in an ICU is preferred, but we are able to train a new grad who has rotated through an ICU and feels passionate about the specialty.

The compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidates relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range.

Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
