Baystate Health invites qualified nurses to join our Neurosciences Unit. We are part of a Magnet-designated organization and home to the only Level 1 trauma center for complex spine and spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). Our Neurosciences Unit is part of our Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence and is looking for inpatient Registered Nurses to join our team.

Department Description
  • D5A and NIU Neurosciences are a 37-bed neuro-acute and 9-bed neuro-intercare department within a 4-time Magnet designated organization.

  • We provide comprehensive care for complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, brain injury, brain tumors, spinal injury, and spine tumors.

  • Work with dedicated professionals committed to patient-centered excellence. Act as an advocate for patients, families, and significant others. Come join a team dedicated to the culture of safety, shared governance, and nursing autonomy.

  • Team-oriented environment. This unit operates as a true team and there is always somebody to assist you when necessary.

  • The Neurosciences Department is composed of a collaborative team of dedicated professionals geared towards achieving excellence in patient-centered care.

  • Teamwork, safety culture, and shared governance are core components of D5A/NIU Neurosciences.

  • Join a team passionate about the neuroscience specialty.

Schedule
  • PT Nights 7A-7P

  • Every other weekend and rotating holidays

  • Location:

    Baystate Medical Center Springfield

Pay
  • New Grad RN (0-1 year of RN Licensure): $41.00

  • Experienced RN (1+ years of RN Licensure): $42.66-$65.00

Qualifications
  • Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

  • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required

  • Experience:

    Minimum 1 year RN experience

  • Education:

    Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred

The base pay range reflects knowledge/skills, experience, training, education/certifications/licensure, and other factors. This base pay range does not include the comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may apply.
