Our Medical-surgical nurses provide care to a wide patient population with a variety of medical issues. They have an advanced organizational, prioritization, assessment, and communication skills and view this specialty as a foundation for a nursing career. The Medicine Units offer broad opportunities to care for patients with diverse medical concerns and support your career development in nursing.

• S1400 is a 24-bed acute care nursing unit providing care to medical patients who may or may not require telemetry monitoring. The unit cares for a wide variety of medical issues, including Alzheimer’s/dementia, psych issues, sepsis or other infections, fall/syncope, palliative/hospice, stroke, COVID-19, and cardiac diagnoses (e.g., atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome).

• Unit population includes patients ages 20 to geriatrics. In addition to inpatient status, staff monitors and cares for patients who have observation or outpatient extended stay status.

SCHEDULE

• Full-Time, Nights (7p-7a)

• Every other weekend and every other holiday

• Baystate Medical Center – Springfield, MA

PAY

• New Grad RN (0-1 year of RN Licensure) $41.00

• Experienced RN (1+ years of RN Licensure) $42.66-$65.00

QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (Board of Registration in Nursing Examination)

• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification

• Experience:
  
  Minimum 1 year RN experience required

• Education:
  
  ADN required; BSN preferred

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other recognition programs. The base pay range shown above considers factors such as knowledge, experience, education/certifications, and licensure. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any applicable incentive payments.
