About the Nursing SpecialtiesOur Medical-surgical nurses provide care to a wide patient population with a variety of medical issues. They have an advanced organizational, prioritization, assessment, and communication skills and view this specialty as a foundation for a nursing career. The Medicine Units offer broad opportunities to care for patients with diverse medical concerns and support your career development in nursing.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONS1400 is a 24-bed acute care nursing unit providing care to medical patients who may or may not require telemetry monitoring. The unit cares for a wide variety of medical issues, including Alzheimer’s/dementia, psych issues, sepsis or other infections, fall/syncope, palliative/hospice, stroke, COVID-19, and cardiac diagnoses (e.g., atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome).
Unit population includes patients ages 20 to geriatrics. In addition to inpatient status, staff monitors and cares for patients who have observation or outpatient extended stay status.

Full-Time, Nights (7p-7a)
Every other weekend and every other holiday

PAY
New Grad RN (0-1 year of RN Licensure) $41.00
Experienced RN (1+ years of RN Licensure) $42.66-$65.00

QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (Board of Registration in Nursing Examination)
Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification
Experience:
Minimum 1 year RN experience requiredEducation:
ADN required; BSN preferred

The base pay range shown above considers factors such as knowledge, experience, education/certifications, and licensure. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any applicable incentive payments.
