Description

Our client, a successful law firm, is seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join their team in Springfield, Massachusetts. In this role, you will support attorneys in bankruptcy, commercial litigation, and collection cases, assisting clients ranging from individuals to Fortune 500 companies. Role:

Comp Package: $50,000 - $60,000 (DOE) + amazing benefits!

Schedule:

Fully in office but can be remote if you are sick, appointments, weather, etc.

Hours:

8:30am - 4:30pm

Responsibilities:

+ Prepare pleadings and other legal documents including complaints, default filings, and various court submissions under attorney supervision.

+ Coordinate with courts, clients, and sheriff's departments to track and advance case progress.

+ Conduct factual research to support negotiations and the resolution of legal disputes.

+ Manage and maintain a detailed calendar of deadlines, hearings, and court appearances for active matters.

+ Organize, update, and securely maintain confidential client files and case information.

+ Review, log, and distribute all incoming mail and correspondence on a daily basis.

Requirements

Requirements:

+ 1 or more years of experience as a paralegal (preferably in litigation)

+ Knowledge of Superior Court Rules and court procedures

+ Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines

+ High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills

+ Reliable, dependable, and a positive team player

+ Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently when needed
