Bulkley, Richardson (formerly Cain, Hibbard & Myers), a fast-paced, dynamic law firm, is seeking a smart, energetic, and conscientious legal assistant to join our busy litigation group. Time will be split between our Great Barrington and Pittsfield offices.
Our litigation department handles a diverse range of cases in areas including health and privacy law, employment discrimination, wrongful termination, and other employment disputes, intellectual property, real estate, construction, guardianship, probate, and general commercial disputes.
RequirementsWe are looking for someone with:
- Prior experience as a legal assistant (preferred)
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point)
- Experience with filing legal documents with state and federal courts (e-filing knowledge preferred)
- The desire to work as part of a team and independently in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Excellent attention to detail
- High ethical standards with the ability to be discreet and observe the strictest standards of confidentiality
- A high school diploma or equivalent required (college degree preferred)
In office, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Hourly rate range is $22.85 to $25.60 per hour, commensurate with experience.
