Schedule- Part-time, 24 hours a week
- 7pm-7:30am
- Rotating Weekends & Holidays
Baystate Health, Patient Care Technicians (PCT) play a hands-on role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care alongside our nursing team. Under the supervision of an RN, you ll assist with direct patient care, including hygiene, mobility, and vital sign monitoring.
PCT’s perform a range of clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen collection, and Point of Care testing. This role also includes assisting with procedures, patient transport, equipment management, and supporting emergency response protocols.
Strong communication, teamwork, and a commitment to patient safety are essential.
QualificationsThis position is part of a career ladder and hiring level determined by Recruitment.
- Level I: PCT training or CNA training, preferred
- BLS CPR Certification through American Heart Association, required
- Level II: High School diploma or GED
- At least one year of patient care experience (this experience can vary in level of long-term care, specialty, acute care, etc.)
- BLS CPR Certification through American Heart Association, required
- Level III: High School diploma or GED
- Three or more years of patient care experience (this experience can vary in level of long-term care, specialty, acute care, etc.) or at least one year as a Level II PCT at Baystate Health
- BLS CPR Certification through American Heart Association, required
- Level IV: High School Diploma or GED
- 4 or more years of acute or specialty-specific care setting experience OR at least one year as a Level III PCT at Baystate Health
- BLS CPR Certification through American Heart Association, required
