Shift and PayShift: Monday-Friday: 1-9:30pm, 2pm-10:30pm or 3pm-11:30pm
Pay: $21.50
What You’ll DoAs a Certified Peer Specialist, you will support individuals within our Community Peer Program by sharing your own recovery journey, offering tools and strategies for wellness, and connecting individuals to resources within the peer and general community.
Responsibilities- Provide self-help education and connect individuals to peer-run groups, housing, benefits, and community events
- Inspire hope and model self-advocacy by sharing your personal recovery story and strategies
- Assist individuals in identifying goals and creating actionable roadmaps for their recovery
- Support individuals in emotional distress by listening and offering empathetic, nonjudgmental support
- Advocate for individuals in treatment or community settings, as requested
- Stay informed about community resources and developments in the recovery movement through ongoing training

- Peer Specialist Certification (Required)
- Lived experience with a psychiatric diagnosis, extreme emotional states, and/or trauma (Required)
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation (Required)
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish or American Sign Language (preferred)
