Salary Range: $59,758.00 – $68,681.00 – $81,224.00

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and home to Baystate Medical Center—the only academic medical center, Level 1 trauma center, and pediatric hospital in western Massachusetts—is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our inpatient team to support our Children s Hospital at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.

Under the general supervision of the department leadership, the Registered Dietitian (RD) practices within the Academy of Nutrition Dietetics  Scope of Practice in Nutrition Care and Scope of Professional Performance, the MA Statutes and Regulations (Dietitians and Nutritionists) and demonstrates Baystate Health s core values. The RD reflects the knowledge and skills necessary to provide expected standards of care based on physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational, spiritual, safety, and age-appropriate considerations of patients.

The RD assumes responsibility for the patient s nutrition plan of care and is held accountable for decisions related to assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RD provides care directly to patients and collaborates with the healthcare team. The RD participates in committees and/or performance improvement initiatives. The RD seeks to improve knowledge and skill, completes requisite continuing education to meet Clinical Ladder requirements, and complies with all regulations and standards of regulatory and accrediting bodies.
