Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Rehabilitation, a comprehensive rehab program providing services throughout western Massachusetts is looking for a full time Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor for afternoon/evenings shift, to join our team in Springfield, MA.

SCHEDULE
  • Full-time 40-hour salary position
  • Evening shift 2:00pm-10:30pm
LOCATION
  • BMC Campus, 759 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Board Pharmacy Certified
  • Massachusetts Licensed Pharmacist
  • 3-5 years' Leadership experience
  • 5 years' preceptor/educator
  • Undergraduate and Graduate Education Requirements and Accreditation Standards
  • Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of computer systems (i.e. Microsoft applications, Clinical Information Systems, Kronos, Workday, Staff Ready)
Preferred
  • Post-Grad training or equivalent experience

Summary

The Pharmacy Operations Supervisor will be an expert in pharmacy operations and medication-use systems. This leadership position will be primarily responsible for supporting pharmacy operations, staffing and scheduling, personnel management (pharmacists, technicians, and interns) and training across all shifts at Baystate Medical Center. The Supervisor will work with the front-line staff and use data and metrics to establish and manage staffing plans and schedules that meet patient care needs, operational demands, and budget considerations.

The Supervisor will utilize project management skills to design, lead and implement projects and initiatives focused on process improvement, safety, quality, cost-savings, or other patient-centered issues.

The Supervisor will coordinate with our pharmacy team members to support technology and automation, medication safety, quality improvement, regulatory compliance and education related to all aspects of pharmacy operations.
