Overview
The Schedule Coordinator I assists Schedule Coordinators II in gathering and sending schedule information to the appropriate client and other internal departments. Contacts patients and physician offices to obtain incomplete and/or missing information. May assist with incoming and outgoing scheduling, pre-registration and reminder calls based on business needs. May provide coverage for assigned sites in the absence of a Schedule Coordinator II.
Ensures every customer receives the highest quality of customer service.
- Assist in gathering documentation of all pertinent patient information in accordance with site guidelines. Supports Schedule Coordinators in meeting customer deadlines.
- Contacts patients, physicians and clients to obtain incomplete and/or missing information.
- May assist with incoming and outgoing scheduling, pre-registration and reminder calls based on business needs.
- May provide coverage for assigned sites in the absence of a Schedule Coordinator II.
- Completes any additional job duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
- 1-2 years’ experience in medical or related field required; medical scheduling experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures required.
- Experience with scheduling/billing systems and use of computer software required.
- Able to work computers and general office equipment required.
- Must have good communication and interactive skills to work with patients, physicians and peers.
- Ability to multi-task successfully and excellent organizational skills.
- The COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.

Standard office environment.
More than 50% of the time:
- Sit, stand, and walk.
- Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs.

- Stoop, kneel or crawl.
- Climb and balance.
- Carry and lift 10-20 pounds
