Note:
The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range.
Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
- Minimum – $64,792.00
- Midpoint – $74,484.00
- Maximum – $88,108.00
Behavioral Health Medical Social Worker

Schedule- 40 hr/week position
- 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday
- No weekends. No holidays

- Master’s in Social Work (required)
- Certification(s): LCSW
- Experience in a health care or community services setting. Required educational levels call for proof at the time of hire. Equivalent experience within an ambulatory health care setting; internship experience will be considered.
- Spanish, bilingual language skills are optional.
The Social Worker I – Ambulatory (“SW‑I”) advocates for and helps patients and their families cope with challenges and adjustments related to diagnosis and treatment. As an integral member of the multidisciplinary care team, the SW‑I addresses psychosocial issues that arise in the ambulatory practice or home health/hospice setting. Through focused social work interventions, the role guides patients, families, physicians, nurses and other members of the health care team to work through identified problems, positively affect continuity of care and reach optimal outcomes.
