Direct Care Professional

Department: Developmental Brain Injury Services

Location: Residential programs throughout Hamden, Hampshire, Franklin & Berkshire counties

Shift: Multiple shifts available, including overnights

Pay: $18-$20 per hour (base on experience and certifications)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily activities such as eating, dressing, and using special equipment
  • Provide home support: cook meals, clean, do laundry, shop for groceries, keep home comfortable
  • Transport residents to appointments, events, and other activities
  • Maintain records: write daily notes and track important information
  • Support residents in achieving personal goals
  • Administer medications after training
  • Complete required training and certifications
  • Work closely with the team and follow manager instructions

What You Need:

  • No educational requirements – training provided
  • Valid driver’s license with at least 6 months and good driving record
  • Physical ability to perform required tasks and ensure resident safety
  • Basic computer skills
  • Background check required

Compensation Pay Range:

  • $18/hr: without MAP certification
  • $20/hr: with active MAP certification (base $18 + $2 differential)
