Direct Care Professional
Department: Developmental Brain Injury Services
Location: Residential programs throughout Hamden, Hampshire, Franklin & Berkshire counties
Shift: Multiple shifts available, including overnights
Pay: $18-$20 per hour (base on experience and certifications)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily activities such as eating, dressing, and using special equipment
- Provide home support: cook meals, clean, do laundry, shop for groceries, keep home comfortable
- Transport residents to appointments, events, and other activities
- Maintain records: write daily notes and track important information
- Support residents in achieving personal goals
- Administer medications after training
- Complete required training and certifications
- Work closely with the team and follow manager instructions
What You Need:
- No educational requirements – training provided
- Valid driver’s license with at least 6 months and good driving record
- Physical ability to perform required tasks and ensure resident safety
- Basic computer skills
- Background check required
Compensation Pay Range:
- $18/hr: without MAP certification
- $20/hr: with active MAP certification (base $18 + $2 differential)
