The Gándara Center provides residential, mental health, substance abuse, and preventive services for children, adults, and families across the Pioneer Valley and eastern parts of Massachusetts. Restoring Families.

• Provides crisis intervention
• Adheres to program policy and procedure manual
• Participates in team approach, sharing responsibility for Persons’ services
• Notifies supervisory staff immediately in the event of a crisis, suspected illegal activity, or any behavior constituting an incident in the program
• Assists Persons with activities of daily living e.g. Personal hygiene, meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, money management, etc.
• Transports Persons in matters related to service delivery, e.g. medical appointments, shopping, job interviews, vocational program, banking, laundry
• Administer medication accordance with MAP policies and procedures
• Provides for and participates in Persons’ recreational activities, e.g. dining out, spectator sports, movies, etc.
• Participates in the development of Persons’ treatment plans
• Interacts with Persons in order to assess needs, provide information, discuss problems, identify patterns and stressors, and encourage growth and development

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in human service field preferred [needed for DC II, or additional experience].
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with population preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving history.
