RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together!
As a Sonographer, you will operate your assigned machine to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. You will take a patient-centered approach, providing Sonography services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers seeking answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and processes.
This position is per diem, working days, evenings, and weekends.
- Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
- Explains and prepares patients for sonography imaging procedures, including explaining the procedure and positioning patients appropriately.
- Performs routine and advanced Sonography imaging procedures on designated body parts for use by physicians, with minimal supervision, providing patient support throughout.
- Adjusts Sonography scan parameters as needed.
- Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Maintains an orderly and clean work area, including equipment, promoting safety for patients and staff.
- Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
- Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
- Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary.
- Assists with training new associates, providing resources and technical expertise as applicable.
- Completes other tasks as assigned.
Minimum:
- ARDMS registered technologist, vascular certification current and in good standing.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiography.
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
- RT, RMT, or ARDMS Certification.
- OSHA Class I exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens.
- Current CPR certification.
- Training and experience sufficient to perform sonography procedures independently.
- Certification in imaging specialty.
Preferred:
- Bilingual skills.
