Phlebotomist – Hospital Phlebotomy (Per Diem)

Job OverviewResponsible for providing skilled inpatient phlebotomy care within Mercy Medical Center. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients. This is a night shift position with flexibility to cover evenings when needed.
Responsibilities- Receive assignments, obtain required supplies, and complete work on time.
- Complete stat requests within standard turnaround times and respond promptly to beeper and/or overhead paging.
- Verify that the appropriate specimen has been obtained/received for the requested test and maintain specimen integrity.
Per diem, night shifts; flexibility to cover evening shifts if needed. Must be available for EPIC training on a day shift.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED.
- National Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
- Technical training in a Phlebotomy program and at least one year of experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, phlebotomy skills, adaptability, flexibility, and good command of English and medical terminology.
Hourly rate: $20.30 – $26.10. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Positions are exempt according to FLSA within the stated hourly ranges.
