Emergency Coordinator – Township of Springfield (Part-time)The Township of Springfield, Burlington County seeks a part-time (approximately 10 hours per month)
emergency coordinator to plan, activate, and coordinate the conduct of emergency management operations within the municipality, N.J.S.A. App. A:9-40.4, and proclaim a state of local disaster emergency when warranted pursuant to N.J.S.A. App. A:9-40.5.
The Township seeks a responsible, energetic, and experienced individual. The emergency coordinator is responsible for maintaining and enforcing the New Jersey State Disaster Laws.
Requirements- Appointee must possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License.
- Minimum (2) years emergency service experience as per NJ OEM Directive 7 required.
- Must be a Springfield Township Resident per Township Ordinance.
- Skills and ability to update Springfield’s Emergency Operation Plan (EOP).
- Ability to complete Incident Action Plans.
- Attend training:
Basic Workshop in Emergency Management and IMS requirements. - Within the 1st year must complete: FEMA Professional Development Series (7 classes, around 30 hrs), G0191 Emergency Operations Center Management, 24 hours of continuing education every 12 months.
