The Senior Staff Accountant supports the Company’s financial and managerial accounting functions and oversees key financial activities across the organization. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with ownership and senior leadership. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Balance and close the General Ledger on a monthly basis in accordance with GAAP/IFRS standards, including account reconciliations for both operating and real estate entities.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the accounting database, ensuring information is updated daily.
- Prepare, review, and post standard, recurring, and adjusting journal entries.
- Prepare annual audit work papers and coordinate with internal and external partners during year‑end audits.
- Perform daily cash management activities, including account reconciliations and cash transfers.
- Maintain and track fixed asset records and depreciation using Sage Fixed Assets (Sage FAS).
- Compile weekly financial reports (Key Facts Report) for management review.
- Serve as a point of contact with external partners, including accounting firms, legal counsel, financial institutions, and insurance providers.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of departmental and company‑wide processes, procedures, and workflows to promote consistency and efficiency.
- Provide accounting and reporting support to Sales, Customer Service, and Management as requested.
- Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Perform payroll duties in the absence of the Payroll Administrator.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assume additional responsibilities or special projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting or financial management experience; manufacturing and/or distribution industry experience preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency, including accounting and inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functionality.
- Proven ability to plan and organize effectively, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, and implement practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of the organization.
- Valid driver’s license required.
