General FunctionThe registrar/office assistant position provides clerical and customer service support for the department. Responsibilities may include reception duties, responding to inquiries, scheduling appointments, preparing materials for meetings or events, processing mailings, and maintaining paper and electronic files. Duties are assigned by the supervisor and focus on supporting departmental programs and daily operations.
Description of Primary DutiesThis position provides registrar and student records support role for the school. Responsibilities include managing student enrollment and withdrawal processes; maintaining accurate and confidential student academic records; processing transcripts, report cards, and verification requests.
This position oversees daily attendance processes, including monitoring submissions, communicating with families regarding absences, tracking patterns of attendance concerns, and generating required attendance reports. The role also works to implement the school’s Student Information System (SIS), ensuring data accuracy related to demographics, schedules, grades, attendance, and enrollment. Responsibilities include running reports, supporting faculty with grade and attendance entry, troubleshooting basic system issues, and assisting with scheduling and course setup.
Additional duties may include supporting maintaining cumulative files, preparing official documentation as requested, and providing front‑office customer service to students, families, and staff. Accuracy, confidentiality, and strong organizational skills are essential in this role.
Minimum Acceptable QualificationsPrior office experience and skills with data, communication, and organization.
