Bookkeeper

Description

Our client in Springfield, MA is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a contract-to-permanent opportunity. This position is ideal for professionals who excel at managing daily financial operations and are looking for long-term career growth with a reputable organization.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Maintain and update general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

+ Reconcile bank statements and monitor company financial transactions.

+ Process payroll and ensure accurate reporting for management.

+ Assist with monthly and year-end closing procedures.

+ Prepare financial statements and ad hoc reports as needed.

+ Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.

+ Collaborate with team members and provide insight on financial trends.

Requirements

+ Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Staff Accountant, or in a similar accounting role.

+ Proficiency in accounting software such as Quick Books, Microsoft Excel, or comparable platforms.

+ Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and data entry.

+ Excellent organizational and communication skills.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
