*** About The Position
****** Must successfully complete drug screening and a background check  Pay: $17.50 per hour
**** The Gas Meter Painter is a temporary, summer position responsible for cleaning and painting gas meter sets for corrosion mitigation.

* Key responsibilities include:

**** Works under the direction of Gas Supervisor, to clean and paint residential meters, regulator stations, and industrial meter locations in assigned area to meet code requirements for corrosion mitigation.
* Paints assigned gas meter sets and up to 3' of customer fuel line.
* Expected to paint a minimum of three to four meters per hour and 1,000 meters over the course of the assignment.  Must meet or exceed daily quota while performing quality work.
* Understand and follow all gas safety rules and DOT safety requirements.##
* Qualifications
* * A high school diploma or GED equivalent, required.
* Candidates enrolled in a technical school majoring in Electrical, HVAC, A.C. Electricity, Trade Construction, Welding, Highway Construction, Industrial Pipe fitting, Machining, or Maintenance Mechanic is preferred.
* Must successfully complete Meter Painting training and testing.
* Must have a valid driver's license.
* Must have a good Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
* Must have reliable transportation.##
* Additional Information
** Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
* Must successfully complete drug screening and a background check.
* Required to work summer schedule Monday through Friday (typically 40 hours per week).

** We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the salary offered.$17.50 - $17.50##
