Electrician Job Description
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing electrical conduit systems, assembling and wiring electrical panels, and connecting electrical components to various equipment. Your role will also include testing and troubleshooting electrical systems to ensure functionality and safety compliance. Collaborating with mechanical and production teams to integrate electrical systems and maintaining accurate documentation of installations are key aspects of this position.
All work must comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Install electrical conduit systems including bending, cutting, and securing conduit to meet layout specifications.
- Assemble and wire electrical panels according to schematics and engineering drawings.
- Install and connect electrical components to equipment such as lights, cameras, control panels, and sensors.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with mechanical and production teams to integrate electrical systems into equipment assemblies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, modifications, and repairs.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Minimum of 3 years of electrical assembly experience.
- 3 years of heavy industrial assembly experience.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing plans or blueprints in both imperial and metric systems.
- Strong skills in assembly, hand tools, production, blueprint reading, mechanical assembly, power tools, electrical schematics, inspection, and welding.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Physical ability to stand, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders comfortably at heights up to 20 feet.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar electrical installation or maintenance role is nice to have.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations for documentation and system interface.
- Skilled in the use of hand and pneumatic tools for electrical work.
- Electrical certification is an asset and familiarity with industry standards is preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Work EnvironmentThis full-time position. You'll work in a manufacturing facility focused on fabricating lifting equipment, collaborating with a team committed to quality and excellence. As part of a globally recognized group, you will be involved in launching new operations, contributing to a dynamic and supportive environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
