Malibu Jack’s Indoor Family Entertainment Center in Springfield, IL is seeking an Attractions & Arcade Technician (Support) to assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing arcade games, rides, and attractions.
This role is perfect for someone with a mechanical, electrical, or technical background who is eager to develop hands‑on skills, learn from a senior technician, and help ensure that our attractions operate safely and efficiently for guests.
What You’ll Do- Assist with inspections, maintenance, and repairs on arcade games, small rides, and attractions
- Help troubleshoot and identify issues, escalating to senior technicians when needed
- Support daily operation checks to ensure attractions are guest‑ready and safe
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and parts inventory
- Assist with preventive maintenance tasks according to manufacturer and company guidelines
- Respond to urgent equipment issues or on‑call emergencies as directed
- Keep work areas, tools, and parts organized and clean
- Collaborate with senior technicians and operations staff to prioritize repair work and improve workflow
- Mechanical aptitude and basic electrical or technical skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work under the guidance of senior technicians
- Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift moderate weight, stand for long periods, and climb ladders as needed
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and respond to on‑call emergencies
- Previous experience in maintenance, technical repair, or industrial/arcade equipment
- Exposure to amusement rides, go‑karts, or arcade systems
- Basic experience reading wiring diagrams or service manuals
- Hands‑on technical experience with a wide variety of attractions and arcade equipment
