Inside Sales Representative – Building Materials Industry
Location:
Greater Chicago Metro
Base pay range: $60,000.00/yr – $70,000.00/yr
Additional compensation:
Annual Bonus
We have been retained to find an Inside Sales Representative role with a well‑established, relationship‑driven organization in the building‑materials space. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves customer interaction, enjoys working closely with a sales team, and wants to build a long‑term career with a stable, growth‑oriented company.
What You’ll Do- Build and strengthen customer relationships through active listening, problem‑solving, and consistent follow‑through.
- Partner closely with outside sales and product management teams to ensure seamless customer support.
- Manage inbound and outbound calls, provide quotes, and follow up on open opportunities to drive sales results.
- Develop strong product and application expertise to serve as a trusted resource for customers.
- Keep customer interactions and sales activities updated in the CRM to support team collaboration.
- Relationship‑focused – Someone who naturally connects with others and builds trust.
- Team‑oriented – You understand that sales success comes from collaboration.
- Results‑driven – Motivated by goals and accountable for performance.
- Organized & tech‑comfortable – Able to manage details and adapt quickly to new systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
- 1+ year of inside sales or customer service experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
