Responsibilities- Greet all customers on the sales floor with courtesy and a smile
- Grow personal sales by hitting minimum goals and following Scheels professional salesmanship standards to provide an above and beyond customer experience
- Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and clearly explain all benefits
- Engage in conversation with customers and assist them in making buying decisions
- Demonstrate a passion for products in our store
- Attend all Scheels product training and all store meetings
- Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
- Assist in all other assigned duties
- Ability to perform basic math; compute rate, ratio and percent; draw and interpret bar graphs
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Demonstrate strong communication, organization, attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Help with freight/stocking when needed
- Demonstrate product usage and retrieve products from heights as needed
- Customer Service: genuinely and consistently treat co-workers, customers and business partners with respect
- Culture: approach tasks with energy and urgency; become a knowledge expert in the role
- Team Mentality: help others before yourself
- Teach-ability: willingness to listen, learn, apply knowledge and accept feedback; adapt to change

- Education & Experience:
high school diploma or GED and/or 1-3 months of sales experience - Physical Requirements/Lifting: may include sitting, standing, bending, climbing, reaching, lifting up to specified weights; notifies accommodations as needed
Compensation is a combination of hourly plus commission averaging $19-22 per hour
. Schedule requires flexibility between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Monday through Friday (daytime hours may be available); 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Average hours per week are ~20, with possible varied hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
