American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Oncology/Med-Surg position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, with chemotherapy administration skills required.

• Acute care hospital setting — Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility with 562 staffed beds
• Oncology/Med-Surg unit with an average daily census of 24 patients across 24 beds
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hours (18:45–07:15)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required as needed to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• Charting via Cerner
• Free parking with permit obtained during orientation

• Active IL RN license in hand or actively in the application process
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Chemotherapy certification not required, though Chemo Cert, OCN, and ONS/ONCC certifications are preferred
• Chemotherapy skills required: administration (IV push, continuous infusion, oral), body fluid handling post-chemo, monitoring, cytotoxic spill management/disposal, and recognition/communication of abnormal lab values
• IV therapy/infusion skills required: accessing and managing ports, central line care and blood draw, PICC line care, starting IVs, blood/blood product administration, and administration of coagulation factors, antifungals, and antivirals

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Schedule requests may be discussed with the manager
• RTO is ideally no more than 5 days for the duration of the assignment
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years will be required for consideration
