- Oral administration of chemotherapy
- Recognizing and communicating abnormal lab values
- Accessing and managing ports
- Care and management of central lines
- Starting and maintaining IVs

Description:

The position is for a registered nurse specializing in oncology.
The shift consists of three 12-hour days.
The average daily census is 24 patients.
The unit has 24 rooms and beds.
Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience.
New graduates are accepted.
Nurses will work every other weekend.
Floating within the scope to meet facility needs is required.
Candidates can discuss scheduling requests with management.
Local candidates are accepted without radius restrictions.
Time off requests should ideally not exceed five days.
Candidates may be called off for up to 36 hours without compensation.
Chemotherapy administration is a primary responsibility.
Required skills include familiarity with chemotherapy protocols and patient education.
The unit provides interdisciplinary support such as physical therapy and social services.
Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics.
The environment is focused on comprehensive oncology and hospice care.
