Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Cath Lab RN will work in a 5-room unit with an average daily census of 25, providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures. Responsibilities include circulating procedures, diagnostic catheterizations, and monitoring procedural sedation. The role requires on-call availability, potential floating within scope, and weekend work.

Responsibilities:

- Circulate Interventional Cardiac Cath lab procedures
- Perform Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult)
- Monitor Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz
- Assist with Left and Right heart catheterizations
- Administer and monitor Procedural Sedation
- Interpret and manage Dysrhythmias
- Monitor Procedural Sedation
- Float within scope to meet facility needs
- Complete Cerner charting

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Cardiac Cath lab experience

- Experience with Circulating Procedures, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), Left heart catheterization, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, and Right heart catheterization

- Experience with Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring
- Proficiency in Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias

- Experience with Cerner

Special Considerations:

- Will work 2-3 weekends per contract
- On-call required as needed
- May float within scope to meet facility needs
- RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

- Discuss schedule requests with manager
- Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without pay
