Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Ortho RN will work on a 38-bed unit, providing skilled nursing care to patients. This position requires a minimum of two years of experience and the ability to work every third weekend. The RN will primarily work night shifts and may float to other Med Surg departments as needed.

Responsibilities:

- Provide skilled nursing care to orthopedic patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Perform PICC Line Management and start IVs.
- Float to other Med Surg departments as needed.
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Cerner.

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of working (IL).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting.
- BLS certification.
- IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/

Experience:

PICC Line Management, Starting IVs.

Preferred Skills &

Certifications:

- ACLS certification.
- Telemetry experience.
- Cerner experience.
- Previous travel experience.

Special Considerations:

- Will work every third weekend.
- No on-call requirements.
- May float to other Med Surg departments as needed.
- RTO Restrictions:
Ideally no more than 5 days.
- Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours.

Scheduling:
- 4x12 or 3x12 Nights ).
- Shifts are determined and assigned by the facility.
- Block schedules are not accommodated.
