Registered Nurse (RN) - Bariatrics/Plastics
Join Memorial Health, Springfield, IL as a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Bariatrics/Plastics unit. The position offers competitive pay of USD 30.23–48.37 per hour and a $20,000 sign‑on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for bariatric and plastic surgery patients, including wound care, specialty dressing, and use of specialty beds.
- Administer medications, manage tracheostomy, drains, chest tubes, and both oral and enteral feedings.
- Deliver IV fluid administration, IVAC, PAC, IV pain management, capnography and neurovascular monitoring.
- Assist in chemotherapy, vac pump therapy and other postoperative care such as NG suctioning and Keofed/GT tube feedings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely and thorough patient care.
Qualifications
- Licensed RN in the State of Illinois.
- Valid BLS/CPR certification.
- Proficient in IV insertion, IM injections and patient positioning/transfer.
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to perform complex manipulative skills and withstand prolonged standing.
- Understand environmental risks including exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and hazardous materials.
This is a full‑time, entry‑level position in a dynamic, healthcare‑provider setting.
