Location:
Springfield, IL 62702
Shifts Available: 4x12-Hour Nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
Pay Rate: $55-$57/hr
Duration : 13-Week Contract
Join a high-acuity oncology-focused medical-surgical unit in Springfield, a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility.
This role offers experience with complex cancer care, chemotherapy, and a diverse adult patient population.
• Requirements:
- 1+ year of recent Med-Surg experience (Oncology preferred)
- Current Illinois RN license (Active or in progress)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Willing to work every other weekend
- Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) preferred
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Provide direct nursing care on a med-surg/oncology floor
- Administer and monitor chemotherapy and IV therapies
- Care for patients with central/PICC lines and ports
- Manage symptoms: nausea, altered mental status, skin changes, etc.
- Support patients receiving hospice or palliative care
- Educate and support patients and families throughout treatment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams , including PT, RT, pharmacy, and more
- Unit:
Oncology/Med-Surg - Floating required within scope
