The primary purpose of the Director of Nursing is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the day‑to‑day functions of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained.

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the day‑to‑day functions of the nursing department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of residents’ total care regimen.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
• Ensure adequate licensed practical and/or registered nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, medications, and safety equipment are available and utilized properly for each shift to maintain quality care.

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must hold a current Illinois unencumbered license to practice as a RN.
• Three years of experience in a supervisory healthcare role, preferred.
