Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Unit 4B at Memorial Health. This is a Full Time, Day Shift position. Salary: USD $30.23/Hr. Max USD $48.37/Hr. Sign-on bonus: $20,000.

All private rooms with mostly middle to older adult population. Nurses care for a wide range of medical patients, including post-surgical patients, with opportunities such as central lines, IVs, PCAs, wound care with dressing changes, care of dialysis patients, chest tubes, NG, various drainage tubes, Ostomy/ileostomy care, complex comorbidity, and patient education.

• Performs age-appropriate assessments.
• Analyzes data to identify nursing problems.
• Provides direct patient care and develops individualized care plans in partnership with patients and families. Evaluates progress and revises plans as indicated.
• Delegates patient care tasks to LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel according to job descriptions and patient needs.
• Supervises the performance of LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel and promotes teamwork.
• Documents patient care according to policies and procedures.
• Ensures appropriate implementation of physician orders.

• Current RN license in the State of Illinois required.
• Healthcare Provider or Instructor BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS Provider or Instructor certification required within one year of hire date.

• BSN preferred, but not required.
