The Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education [IICLE] is a small, mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to producing creditable educational seminars and publications for Illinois lawyers. We are seeking a strategic, hands‑on Associate Director, Marketing, to help expand our reach, strengthen engagement with our community, and increase earned revenue and sales that support our mission.
The OpportunityWe are looking for an experienced Associate Director, Marketing, (5+ years) who can think strategically while also rolling up their sleeves. This role will work closely with our Co‑Executive Directors to set and implement high‑level marketing strategy, while overseeing the execution of email, print, and social media campaigns by additional marketing staff.

Key Responsibilities- Partner with Co‑Executive Directors to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead brand strategy and oversee strategic communications initiatives and marketing efforts in collaboration with internal teams, ensuring clarity, consistency, and impact across all platforms.
- Lead, mentor, and oversee marketing staff and/or contractors to ensure consistent, high‑quality execution.
- Guide the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across email, print, and social media.
- Support growth in reach, engagement, and sales for programs and products.
- Analyze campaign performance and audience data to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
- Ensure brand consistency and clear messaging across all materials and platforms.
- Lead the maintenance of marketing segments and mailing lists to ensure the quality of customer contact information and efficacy of marketing campaigns.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in marketing
- Proven experience in brand management, strategic communications, and marketing plan execution.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic marketing efforts
- Strong leadership and project‑management skills
- Experience overseeing or collaborating with marketing staff and vendors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for nonprofit work and mission‑driven organizations
- Experience working in a nonprofit or small organization
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms, social media management tools, and basic analytics
- Experience supporting sales, fundraising, or revenue‑generating initiatives
- Salary range: 70,000 to 75,000
