B artlett is excited to be close to opening our Grain Elevator in Sheffield, IL. In the coming months, we will be hiring for various positions, including Grain Elevator Operator

• The duties of this hands-on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

For these jobs we are seeking hands-on individuals who can work longer hours in challenging conditions. Experience in a grain elevator, feed mill or similar would be helpful, but is NOT required.

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in a grain elevator, feed mill or similar is preferred but NOT required
• Available to work off hours and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Physical requirements
• This job can be physically strenuous
• You will work in tight and confined spaces
• You will work at heights
• You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
• This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders
• You will be required to wear PPE
