HOURLY POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE:
Plant Assembly Utility

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs all duties on the assembly lines and/or operating a Powered Industrial Truck to provide plant wide support when needed

• Tests and repairs ranges appliances

• Trains new associates on job tasks and assists in follow-up of quality issues

• Troubleshoots functional defects

• Repair workmanship errors

• Will cover absenteeism or other reasons in the plant

• May perform other job duties as needed such as insulation wrapper

QUALIFICATIONS AND

BASIC SKILLS:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 1+ years experience testing, repairing, and troubleshooting appliances or mechanical system

• 1+ years experience with assisting with quality issue resolution and process improvements

• Must achieve Powered Industrial Lift Truck certification within 6 months of hire

• Must achieve EMS Yellow Gear Certification within 30 days of hire and EMS Green Gear Certification within 12 months

• Able to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis

• Able to stand for the majority of the shift
