Business Management, Operations Manager
Job Description
The Director of Program Management, Cross‑Org (Data Center Central Functions) will lead an organization spanning (1) Technical Program Managers (TPMs), (2) Vendor Management, and (3) Business Operations (planning, headcount/budget, operating cadence, KPI reporting). This role also serves as Chief of Staff to the Data Center Central Functions leadership, driving executive readiness, business rhythms, and cross‑pillar alignment across Data Hall Design, Software & Automation, Global Program Controls, and Deployment & Materials.
The Director is accountable for converting strategy and the FY27 roadmap into an integrated execution plan, ensuring governance, resourcing, vendor capacity, and operational mechanisms are in place to deliver predictable outcomes at scale.
ResponsibilitiesPeople & Org Leadership (TPMs, Vendor Mgmt, Biz Ops)
Lead and develop a multi‑discipline organization of TPMs, Vendor Managers, and Business Operations professionals; set clear charters, success metrics, and career paths.
Establish standard operating procedures and consistent expectations for program planning, execution, and reporting across the team.
Chief of Staff to Central Functions Leadership
Own leadership operating rhythms: staff meetings, M /Q , portfolio reviews, decision logs, and executive communications. Align with HRBP and Finance partners.
Drive cross‑pillar alignment, ensuring leaders have decision‑ready materials (tradeoffs, risks, asks, and dependencies) and that decisions are converted into accountable actions.
Maintain a “single narrative” across pillars for priorities, sequencing, and delivery health tied to the FY27 roadmap.
Cross‑Org Program Execution & Governance
Own Critical Projects & Operations: integrated portfolio of strategic and technical programs across pillars; manage interdependencies, critical paths, and sequencing to reduce delivery friction and rework at scale.
Define and operationalize KPI frameworks and dashboards that reflect throughput, quality, and operational outcomes, enabling proactive management.
Vendor Management & External Readiness
Lead vendor management planning and execution mechanisms, ensuring predictable capacity, performance management, and escalation paths to support all Pillars for Central functions.
Ensure vendor deliverables, SLAs, and performance signals are translated into program plans and executive reporting.
Business Operations (Planning, Budget, Headcount, Reporting)
Own business operations for the org: annual/semi‑annual planning, headcount and contractor planning, budget tracking, and investment prioritization aligned to roadmap needs.
Build durable reporting that reduces manual status work and improves auditability and decision latency for leadership.
Drive continuous improvement across intake, prioritization, execution hygiene, and stakeholder communications.
Risk, Issue, and Escalation Management
Establish early‑warning mechanisms across the portfolio; ensure risks are quantified, owned, mitigated, and escalated with clear options and recommendations.
10 years in program management, operations, or technical delivery leadership roles in cloud infrastructure, data center, or adjacent large‑scale technical domains, with measured outcomes.
5 years of people leadership experience, including building, leading, and scaling TPM organizations and/or delivery functions across geographies.
Demonstrated Chief of Staff capability (or equivalent) for VP/SVP‑level leadership: strategic planning, operating cadence, decision hygiene, executive communications, and org‑wide alignment.
Strong understanding of cross‑org execution across software, infrastructure, and operations stakeholders and ability to drive adoption and standardization.
Excellent analytical, reporting, and narrative‑building skills for senior executive audiences; ability to create clarity from ambiguity.
Proven ability to influence across engineering, operations, finance, procurement, and vendor ecosystems in a fast‑paced environment.
