Job Description:
Maintenance Technician

Reports to:

Maintenance Manager/General Manager

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing attractions and arcade games, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

Maintenance & Repairs:

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on attractions, arcade, and go-karts for maximum reliability and uptime.
• Perform prompt repairs to minimize downtime and enhance the guest experience.
• Oversee daily appearance and performance checks on go-karts and tracks, reporting any concerns to management.

Documentation & Inventory Management:

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts inventory, and ongoing projects.
• Keep up-to-date logs for preventative maintenance as per manufacturer and company standards.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment, notifying management of any needs.

Safety & Cleanliness:

• Ensure the pit, kart shop, and track areas are clean, safe, and organized at all times.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safety-focused attitude in all tasks.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations, ensuring the safety of guests and staff.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Communicate daily with team members to coordinate efforts and address any issues.
• Assist with maintaining POS systems, projectors, and other building equipment as needed.

Training & Knowledge Development:

• Stay informed about industry best practices through study, training, and networking.
• Serve as a resource for all attraction-related inquiries and be available for on-call emergencies.

Operational Duties:

• Perform opening, running, and closing duties for the department as scheduled.
• Prepare attractions throughout the week to ensure smooth weekend operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas, assisting with general park cleaning as needed.
• Operate attractions and provide guest support in line with safety and service standards.
• Complete additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude and experience with maintenance and repairs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze situations effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety.
• Flexibility to respond to changing situations and prioritize tasks effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work up to 45 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
